Job Description
The Restaurant Manager drives all front-of-house activities—guest relations, service standards, financial performance, and team development—while partnering with the culinary brigade to deliver seamless, memorable dining.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth, efficient service.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate servers, hosts, and bartenders to exceed guest expectations.
- Maintain brand standards for sequence of service, grooming, and guest engagement.
- Optimize financial performance—forecast covers, control labor and cost of sales, and hit revenue targets.
- Manage reservations, table allocations, and guest flow for maximum occupancy without compromising experience.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly, ensuring repeat patronage.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu engineering, promotions, and special events.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations as well as Gewan SOPs.
Requirements
- 4 + years’ leadership experience as Restaurant or Assistant Restaurant Manager in luxury hotels or upscale standalone venues.
- Proven success driving guest satisfaction scores and financial KPIs.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, reservation platforms, and basic F&B cost control.
- Inspirational leadership and coaching skills with the ability to build an engaged, high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
