To build a best-in-class commercial team, we are recruiting an experienced Reservations Manager who will optimize room revenue, lead the reservations desk, and ensure a seamless booking journey for every guest.
Job Description
The Reservations Manager oversees all reservation operations, drives conversion and upselling, and collaborates closely with Revenue & Sales to maximize occupancy and profitability while maintaining Gewan’s high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day reservations activities—phone, email, OTA, and direct channels.
- Develop and maintain reservations SOPs to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and brand consistency.
- Monitor inventory, rate parity, and cut-off dates; work with Revenue Management on yield decisions.
- Train, schedule, and motivate reservations agents, conducting regular call-quality audits and coaching.
- Deliver prompt, personalized responses to VIP, group, and corporate enquiries.
- Analyze booking pickup, pace reports, and no-show / cancellation patterns; recommend actions to meet budgeted targets.
- Liaise with Sales, Front Office, and Finance to streamline group blocks, billing instructions, and guest profiles.
- Maintain reservation systems (PMS / CRS / channel manager) and support system updates or migrations.
Requirements
- 3 + years’ reservations leadership in upscale or luxury hotels.
- Solid understanding of PMS/CRS platforms (Opera preferred) and OTA extranets.
- Strong analytical skills—comfortable with pickup, pace, and forecasting reports.
- Proven ability to coach teams, drive upsell revenue, and improve conversion metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and a naturally customer-focused mindset.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a dynamic pre-opening/expansion environment.
