Job Description
As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying all incoming deliveries for the hotel. You will ensure that all goods meet quality standards and are accurately recorded and stored in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Ensure that all received goods meet quality and quantity standards.
- Properly document all received items and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate with the purchasing and finance departments for proper documentation and approvals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the receiving area.
- Monitor and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the relevant department.
- Follow hotel policies and procedures regarding storage and handling of goods.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control.
- Familiarity with procurement and receiving procedures.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software is a plus.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
