To build and nurture a high-performing workforce, we are hiring a strategic Human Resources Manager who will oversee all people-related functions—talent acquisition, colleague engagement, learning & development, and compliance—while championing Gewan’s culture and values.
Role Overview
The Human Resources Manager leads the full HR cycle, partners with department heads to forecast and fill staffing needs, ensures adherence to Egyptian labor law, and drives programs that foster retention, recognition, and career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding – Create recruitment plans, conduct interviews, issue offers, and deliver engaging orientation programs.
- Employee Relations – Advise leaders and team members on policies, grievances, and disciplinary processes; ensure a positive, inclusive workplace.
- Learning & Development – Identify skill gaps, coordinate mandatory and elective training, and track completion in the HRIS.
- Compensation & Benefits – Benchmark pay scales, manage payroll inputs, and oversee benefits administration.
- Performance Management – Implement appraisal cycles, succession planning, and recognition initiatives.
- Compliance – Maintain up-to-date personnel files, visa paperwork, and HR policies in line with Egyptian labour law and Gewan standards.
- HR Metrics & Reporting – Produce regular reports on turnover, headcount, leave, and engagement scores for senior leadership.
Requirements
- 5 + years’ progressive HR leadership in upscale or luxury hotels.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field; CIPD / SHRM certification preferred.
- Excellent command of English (spoken & written).
- In-depth knowledge of Egyptian labour legislation, social-insurance processes, and visa/immigration procedures.
- Strong HRIS/payroll experience (Oracle, SAP, or similar) and solid MS Excel skills.
- Proven ability to coach leaders, mediate conflicts, and drive engagement programs.
- High integrity, impeccable confidentiality, and strong organisational skills.
