Gewan Hotels & Resorts is opening a flagship luxury address in the heart of Cairo. To keep our people processes running smoothly, we’re hiring a detail-oriented HR Clerk who will support daily HR administration, data integrity, and colleague welfare while upholding Egyptian labor law and Gewan standards.
Job Description
The HR Clerk maintains accurate personnel records, processes documentation for new hires and leavers, and acts as the first point of contact for routine colleague enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Personnel Files & HRIS – Create and maintain hard-copy and electronic files (Form 1, Form 6, national-ID copies, contracts, leave records); update the HRIS with 100 % accuracy.
- Payroll Inputs – Verify daily attendance, overtime sheets, and deductions; submit clean data to Payroll by cut-off.
- Social-Insurance & Labour-Office Docs – Prepare new-hire registration, resignation / termination forms, annual labour reports, and keep expiry calendars for IDs & licences.
- Recruitment Logistics – Post job ads, screen CVs, schedule interviews, and collect onboarding documents.
- Staff Services – Issue employment certificates, salary letters, locker keys, name badges, and uniforms; answer routine policy or benefit queries.
- Reporting & Audits – Generate monthly head-count, leave, and turnover stats; support internal / external HR audits.
- Engagement Support – Assist with staff events, birthdays, CSR activities, and recognition programs.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of HR or general admin experience, ideally in hospitality or retail.
- Diploma / bachelor’s in HR, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Good command of English (spoken & written).
- Solid MS Excel skills and familiarity with any HRIS / payroll platform.
- Working knowledge of Egyptian labor law and social-insurance procedures.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and absolute confidentiality.
