To deliver seamless dining experiences, we are hiring an enthusiastic F&B Captain to guide service teams and act as the primary floor liaison between guests and the kitchen/bar.
Job Description
The F&B Captain supervises a designated station or section during service—coaching servers, coordinating with culinary and bar teams, and ensuring every guest enjoys prompt, attentive, and memorable hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-service briefings, assign sections, and verify mise-en-place readiness.
- Greet guests, take orders when needed, and oversee timely food & beverage delivery.
- Coach servers on menu knowledge, upselling, and sequence-of-service standards.
- Monitor tables to anticipate needs, handle guest feedback, and resolve issues promptly.
- Liaise continuously with kitchen, bar, and stewarding for smooth service flow.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, grooming, and cash-handling procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts, requisitions, and end-of-shift reports.
- Support training of new colleagues and step in for the F&B Supervisor during their absence.
Requirements
- 1–2 years’ experience as Senior Waiter or F&B Captain in upscale restaurants or luxury hotels.
- Solid understanding of fine-dining or high-volume service standards.
- Strong communication, organisational, and guest-engagement skills.
- Hands-on leadership style with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Ability to stay calm and efficient during peak service periods.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
