Job Description
As a Demi Chef de Partie – Cold Kitchen, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality cold dishes and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. You will bring creativity, precision, and passion to the kitchen while maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present cold dishes, including salads, starters, and other cold items, with creativity and consistency.
- Assist in menu planning and development of new cold kitchen recipes.
- Ensure that all food preparation is done according to established recipes and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen workspace.
- Manage and train commis chefs and kitchen assistants as needed.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in placing orders to avoid shortages.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Ensure timely and smooth service during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or similar role in a cold kitchen, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-volume setting.
- Strong knowledge of cold kitchen techniques and food presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for culinary excellence and creativity.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
