As a Commis I – Cold Kitchen, you will assist in preparing high-quality cold dishes and ensure the kitchen runs efficiently. This role requires precision, teamwork, and a strong passion for culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and presenting cold dishes such as salads, starters, and other cold items.
- Follow recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen workspace.
- Assist in receiving and storing inventory while ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Support senior chefs during service and assist in maintaining a smooth operation.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Commis in a cold kitchen, preferably in a hotel or high-volume setting.
- Basic knowledge of cold kitchen techniques and food safety.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
