Job Description
As a Baker (Chef de Partie), you will lead the bakery section of the kitchen, preparing a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts. You will play a critical role in ensuring quality, consistency, and creativity in the bakery offerings, contributing to the hotel’s exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake high-quality bread, pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to recipes and standards.
- Manage the bakery section, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during shifts.
- Create new and innovative recipes to enhance the bakery offerings.
- Oversee the proper storage and inventory of baking ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the bakery section at all times.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff assigned to the bakery section.
- Collaborate with other chefs to ensure timely and efficient preparation of bakery items.
- Monitor and maintain quality control for all bakery products.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Baker or Chef de Partie specializing in bakery within a hotel or fine dining environment.
- Expertise in baking techniques and knowledge of bakery equipment.
- Creativity and passion for developing unique and high-quality baked goods.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
