BayView Restaurant is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join our team. As a Barista at BayView, you will be responsible for crafting a range of high-quality coffee and tea beverages, enhancing our guests’ experience with exceptional service and a passion for coffee artistry. The ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of coffee brewing methods, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering an inviting and satisfying guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso-based drinks, specialty brews, and iced drinks, following BayView’s quality standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation for each beverage served.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffee station, ensuring all equipment is in optimal condition.
- Take and fulfill guest orders accurately and efficiently, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Stay updated on coffee and tea trends, contributing ideas for seasonal menu offerings and unique beverage combinations.
- Educate guests about different coffee and tea options and answer any questions about flavors, brewing methods, and customization.
- Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, coordinating with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista in a high-volume café, restaurant, or specialty coffee shop.
- Strong understanding of coffee brewing methods (e.g., espresso, pour-over, cold brew) and milk frothing techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple orders during peak hours.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high beverage quality standards.
- Familiarity with coffee equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus.
- A certification in barista skills or food handling is preferred but not required.
