As a Cost Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the hotel’s operational costs to drive financial efficiency. This role involves tracking expenses, analyzing cost data, and working closely with various departments to implement cost-effective practices while maintaining quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze daily operational costs, identifying variances and trends.
- Partner with department heads to manage and adhere to departmental budgets.
- Oversee inventory control processes and conduct regular audits to minimize waste.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of expenses, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Generate cost reports and analyses for management review.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with procurement for favorable vendor terms and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate cost control goals to relevant departments and provide training as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cost control, ideally within hospitality or a similar industry.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and cost efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
