About the Hotel

Role Overview

Maintain and repair the hotel’s plumbing systems—guestrooms, public areas, kitchens, laundry, pools, and back-of-house—to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, repair, and maintain piping, valves, fixtures, faucets, mixers, flushometers, traps, and drains.
• Clear blockages; perform leak detection, pressure testing, soldering/brazing, and pipe threading.
• Maintain hot/cold water networks, circulation pumps, water heaters/boilers, expansion tanks, and PRVs.
• Service grey/black water lines, grease traps, sump/transfer pumps, lift stations, and sewage connections.
• Support pool & water features: backwash/valve checks, basic filtration lines, and fittings integrity (in coordination with pool technician).
• Execute PPM and respond to CMMS work orders within SLA; document tasks and parts used.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Kitchens, and Engineering to minimise downtime and guest impact.
• Adhere to HSE procedures: lock-out/tag-out, chemical handling, confined-space safety, and PPE.
• Monitor spares and consumables; raise purchase requests and track inventory.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ plumbing experience in hotels/facilities or commercial buildings.
• Solid knowledge of sanitary and water supply systems, pumps, and fittings; basic pipefitting and welding/brazing skills.
• Able to read drawings/schematics and use plumbing tools safely.
• Physically fit; comfortable with heights, ladders, and safe manual handling.
• Basic English for work orders, safety briefings, and handovers.
• Flexibility for shifts, emergencies, weekends, and public holidays.
• Trade certificate/diploma in Plumbing/Mechanical is an advantage.
