BayView Restaurant is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join our team. As a Barista at BayView, you will be responsible for crafting a range of high-quality coffee and tea beverages, enhancing our guests’ experience with exceptional service and a passion for coffee artistry. The ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of coffee brewing methods, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering an inviting and satisfying guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the waitstaff to ensure consistent, high-quality service and smooth operations throughout the dining area.
- Greet guests and ensure they receive prompt and attentive service from arrival to departure.
- Assist in taking orders, serving food and beverages, and handling special requests when needed.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders.
- Manage table assignments, ensuring optimal seating arrangements for efficient service flow.
- Train new team members on BayView’s service standards, menu offerings, and hospitality protocols.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory checks, communicate supply needs to management, and maintain operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Headwaiter, Captain, or similar role in a fine dining or high-quality restaurant.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-centered approach.
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage service, including menu items, wine pairings, and presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure, handling busy periods with professionalism and composure.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is an advantage.
